Following planning/permitted development approval Building Control approval will be required for most design and building work. Davies Architectural Services offers this service where a full pack of information is produced and issued to the local authorities Building Control Officer. We remain involved throughout the entire Building Control process, including liaising with the Building Control Officer to ensure approval is achieved. This includes site visits, meetings and drawing alterations if required.

Included in a Building Control application is a building specification, building sections and details plus original plans and elevations to allow the Building Control Officer to assess the design to ensure it complies with current UK regulations and standards. A structural report may be required dependant on the project. We work closely with a number of Structural Engineer’s in Bristol and Bath so can assist in obtaining this information.

The drawings/reports produced can then be used to obtain quotes from Builders. We work closely with a number of builders in Bristol and Bath and are happy to assist with providing information or even approaching builders ourselves to provide you with quotes based on our drawings.
